how many 256x4 RAM chips are required to organise a memory of capacity 32KB and the size of decoder required in this implementation to select a row of chip? pls friends I need explanation .

32KB means 2^15 * 8 memory size and RAM chip size is 2^8*4 so total chips required are 2^10 since RAM chip has 4 bit in chip so we require 2 Chips in each row of memory so total 2^8 hence decoder size is 8*2^8

total chips reuied are 2^10 in one row of memory 2^8 so decoder size is 8*2^8

No of chips=32K*8/256*4=256 2 chips in one row Total no of rows =128 So 7:128 decoder is required to select a row
