CN Selective Repeat Question

In selective repeat protocol, we are transmitting 10,000 packets and every 100th packet is lost can anyone tell how many retransmissions will be there?

It would be 10,100. After every 100 packets there will be 1 extra packet to be retransmitted. For 100 packets 101 transmissions, for 200 transmission 202 transmissions,and so on. So for 10,000, 10,000/100 = 100 packets will be retransmitted again.

What about the 10,100th packet. The 10,100th packet will also be lost and for that packet we will need on more transmission. So, total no. of transmisson will be 100 + 1 = 101

101 I think! for each 100th packet 1 packet will be extra ,such extra packet will be 100 itself so again for that 1 more retransmission. hence, (100+1) retransmissions.
